Everything You Need to Know About Custom Tarps

The word ‘Custom’ allows the mind to be as creative as it deems necessary for any given situation. A tarp is simply a heavy-duty, waterproof piece of material but is that all it is? Is that where the definition should end? But there is always more to it, every tarp being individual in some form or another. The devil is in the details as the old saying goes.

Everything You Need to Know About Custom Tarps

No tarp is just fabric without any thread or rope to tie it all together. Back to the word custom, what if the tarp you need is required to fit snuggly over a pallet of goods? Are you just expecting a piece of fabric to just sit nicely and not go anywhere? Because I can assure you there are so many different designs that can easily achieve what you need with just a few custom ideas attached to that lonely piece of tarpaulin. Take that piece of fabric and add a couple of eyelets around the bottom and run some rope through to tighten it off or if the pallet is cube shape in nature, create a box out of your material and run velcro down a side to seal it or go around the pallet with straps and buckles. There are plenty of ways to cover pallet goods, you just have to get a little creative with a few extra add-ons to make that tarpaulin a tarp that will work to the fullest extent of its capabilities.

Same idea with tarps used to cover tipper trailers while the trucks are in motion, driving between sites. None of those tarps you see while driving down the highway will ever be without a roller pipe or track mounting it to the bin. These tarps are also custom in nature; they are made to suit the bin and the drivers needs. Be it a pocket to allow for a roller pipe to slid in nicely or a rope edge to suit aluminium track mounted to the side of the bin. These tarps can also have double thickness (reinforcements) added to the tarp itself to help withstand potential wearing caused by the bins cross bars which also extends the tarps lifespan.

Again but with shelter stations out on farms or in depots; those tarps will have pockets running the full lengths and widths to allow for framework bars to slip through and hold the tarp down. There will also be straps and ropes sewn into the hems to allow for tying off all over the structure to ensure the roof stays on even in the strongest of winds. But just for an extra piece of creative input, why not add a logo or company banner? Advertise your brand up on top of the large structure for all passing traffic to remember.

Custom tarps are only limited by your imagination. Take that lone piece of tarpaulin and make it work for you and all your needs. Custom tarps can be anything you want it to be.
